Sleep can be beneficial to you for many reasons. Some of these reasons include your mental and physical well being, as well as your immune system.  One  problem that may arise if you are not getting the recommend amount of sleep is pain sensitivity. As well as cardiovascular and negative affect on immune systems. When under stress it is hard for the body to perform the right away. Functions that are impaired due to the lack of sleep effect hormones like adrenaline and noradrenaline, that run through your body.


Not only, can not enough sleep be harmful to your body but also, excessive sleep. Researchers found that both insufficient and excessive sleep can cause problems such as cardiovascular problems and premature death. In the United States, did you know that around only a third of the population are getting the recommend amount of sleep. Sleeping too much can increase your chances of premature death and cardiovascular disease by 5 percent, discovered by Dr.Wang. People who sleep more then 9  and less then 6 hours had a increase in heart and blood problems. The recommend amount of sleep the average adult should be getting is between 6-9 hours per night. Make sure you are taking care of your physical and mental health.
