  • Points to address with persons who have a diagnosis of dementia
  • Important issues to consider when discussing a dementia diagnosis with care partners
  • HIPAA rules affecting the disclosure of a diagnosis of dementia to an individual’s family members, friends, or other care partner(s)
  • When to refer persons living with dementia to a neurologist or geriatric psychiatrist
