New cancer detecting technology can help decrease cancer deaths throughout the years. Whiteman states that cancer deaths are increasing and by the year 2030 they will increase by one fourth percent. Growing from 8 million to around 13 million. In addition, some ways to reduce deaths by cancer is to detect them early using new forms of technology including biopsies. As a result, catching the cancer early could increase the chances of the treatment being successful. Catching cancer in the early stages is important with “fast and effective diagnostic tools”. Additionally the new technology tool includes new blood tests used to help in the discovering of common types of cancer. For instance some cancers that can be detected because of this new technology include; colorectal cancer and lung, breast, liver, and stomach. There are currently no routine screenings for these types of cancers. With these new blood test it could help change the way we screen patients currently. This is a less invasive approach then just a regular biopsy. Cristian Tomasetti conducted research studies and he found incredible new findings. Finally, with the new blood test they were able to identify 70 percent of cancers.
