Program For OSHA

OSHA recently launched a new program to target establishments with higher risks of injury and illness. As such, the program gathers data submitted from employers to calculate the risk of injury and illness. Ultimately, it will target places with a higher risk of these issues.

Under the new program, OSHA will provide inspections of employers who possibly should have submitted more data, such as the 300A forms. Understandably, it will change many things about the way many establishments are currently run.

According to OSHA, currently, OSHA requires establishments with 250 or more employees to keep OSHA injury and illness records. OSHA will require establishments with classifications in specific industries with historically high rates of occupational injuries and illness with 20-249 employees to provide this information each year by March 2.

Helpfully, this new agenda will only serve to improve the safety of employees. Since it holds employees accountable and essentially forces them to submit 300A forms.

As a result, employees will only become more safe, which is exactly what OSHA aims to accomplish.
