Hazard communication standard final rule modifications. As a result one of the new modifications of the law includes certain requirements for labels. The label must include “signal word, pictogram, hazard statement, and precautionary statement for each hazard class and category”. Employees are trained on the new label elements, safety data sheet format, and have to complete the current training requirements. Workplace labeling and hazard communication programs  regularly help to ensure training requirements. Similarly the safety data sheet will require 16 specific sections to make sure the importance of protection of information.

Benefits of the rule include longer deadlines for full implementation and clarification of pictograms. Furthermore OSHA has adapted the new hazardous chemical labeling rules and regulations.
